According to Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li movie producer Patrick Aiello, he has recently said that the movie will be released to coincide with the home console release of Street Fighter IV.
Capcom is believed to be setting the release date of Street Fighter IV to home consoles in 2009, to mark the 20th anniversary of the franchise, and to coincide with the upcoming movie according to producer Patrick Aiello.
Street Fighter IV features a mix of returning favorites such as Ryu, Ken, Chun-Li and Guile along with new characters created for this game, such as Crimson Viper, Abel, El Fuerte, and Rufus. The Characters and new environments are rendered in stylized 3D, while the game is played in the classic 2D perspective with additional 3D camera flourishes.
Street Fighter IV Main Features Include:
- 3D environments and characters.
- Traditional “2D” Street Fighter six-button gameplay.
- Classic Street Fighter characters, including the original cast of Street Fighter II.
- New special moves, including Focus Attacks, Super Combos and the revenge-fueled Ultra Combo system.
- New locations and gameplay elements.
Street Fighter IV is scheduled for release on the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.
