Sega Unveils New Nintendo DS RPG Blazer Drive

Blazer Drive Logo

Sega has just announced they are working on an exclusive RPG game for the Nintendo DS called Blazer Drive.

Blazer Drive will put players in to the role of Shiro, a young, trendy teenager who uncovers hidden Blazer skills.  After being attacked by a Blazer, Shiro meets with long-time friend Takami and team up with the Guardians to help make the Tokyo of the future a much safer place.

Blazer Drive will have a different battle system, in which players must decide which Mysticker they want to equip similar to a card battle RPG game.  During battle, players will use the stylus to drag Mystickers onto each member of their group.  Causing them to unlock combos and special skills, which will also change the outcome of how the game is played.

Blazer Drive is due out in Japan by the end of this year, with a North American release to follow thereafter.
