Rumor: Gearbox Software Developing Halo 4?

Rumor has it that Brothers in Arms creator, Gearbox Software, will be handling the development of Halo 4.

The company that brought us Brothers in Arms – including the upcoming BiA: Hell’s Highway – is reportedly going to be developing for Microsoft Games Studios once again. The firm has previously worked with both Microsoft and the Halo franchise, as they were responsible for the PC port of the original Halo and Halo: Custom Edition.

The story also has some weight as Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford announced previously that the company was working on a major, unannounced title that would be simply “big”. “Even bigger” than anything Gearbox had already done.

Pitchford continued “When you find out what this is, you’ll likely agree that I can’t oversell this one.”

Maybe Gearbox can get me to like Halo again.  Aside from the multiplayer that is.
