EA has just revealed the first official details on the upcoming Godfather II game.
The game will feature what is being called a “Don’s View”, where players can switch to an overlay of the city where they can distribute resources, spy on the competition, and control their empire. Acquiring different properties in the world rewards players with different items: take down an enemy compound and you earn bulletproof vests just to name a few.
In addition, players will be able to make use of the game’s six classes to differentiate their don, including bruiser, demolitions expert, arsonist, medic, safe cracker, and engineer. Each class has its own specialties and different personalities. Three cities will play host to the sequel’s action: Miami, Havana and New York.
It is also expected that the game will feature a multiplayer mode, although EA won’t reveal yet if it will be cooperative or competitive.
The Godfather II is scheduled for release in 2009 for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC, and Wii.
