Square Enix the company behind the epic Final Fantasy series has just announced Final Fantasy XI 2008 edition. Final Fantasy XI 2008 takes players in to the world of Vana’diel during the aftermath of a big war, where the mission is for the player to defend their people. Being an online multiplayer gamer, players will be able to battle others from around the world. The 2008 edition of Final Fantasy XI will feature four expansion packs, which include Rise of the Zilant, Chains of Promathia, Treasures of Aht Urghan and the newest expansion Wings of the Goddess. Wing of the Goddess will contain several new features like, an allied campaign that will allow players to engage in large battles, and explore new territories. Final Fantasy fans rejoice, as Final Fantasy XI 2008 edition is scheduled for release on the PC and Xbox 360 on May 23.
